Well I think I got pretty far yesterday. I was able to implement my design with a little modifications til I can figure out a few things. Rhaya was a big help. Who knew but it was kinda fun tinkering around with code.

If my page looks a little weird, it's because Im messing with it. Im attempting to incorporate my own design. We'll see if I can do it. So far the only thing I've been successful in is changing the font color.

How I make it happen.

Ever wonder how Im able to work with Belle. This is how I do it. My office has been transformed into a daycare.

Me! Belle fell off the bed for the first time yesterday. And I was sitting on it at the time. The tv caught my eye for a second and off she went. I felt horrible. Nic was coming out of the bathroom and he was there to pick her up. She was more scared than anything, but now she has a perfect carpet pattern on her forehead. It didn't help that we just got a new mattress and our bed is super high.

I guess it had to happen sometime. I heard somewhere that its good luck to fall off the bed before you're a year old. Whatever makes me feel better I guess. =)

Gotta love the Credit Card Fraud!!

Gee whiz! I bought Belle two more of the lovies she's using on a baby website this weekend. Its a little Gund giraffe. Anyways I got a call today from Capital One. Someone is going buck wild with my credit card. Wonderful! Luckily they caught it and I won't have to pay. Now Im just back tracking trying to figure out how they got my number. Was it through the baby website or a virus? So aggravating that I have to even do this.

Whoo Hooo! The Colts are going to the Super Bowl. I unfortunately did not stay up last night to see the end of the game. I had to go to bed because I knew Belle would have me up at some point. And she didn't disappoint. I think she's teething still.

So in two weeks we'll see if I can stay up long enough to watch the Super Bowl.

We had some fun in the office today. We were making a post to the Pulse Creative site celebrating the Colts game on sunday. Well Belle turned into the football. Im not in the shot cause I don't have a colts jersey yet. In the pic is Rhaya and Stefan, coworkers of mine.

Met Kelli and Michaela at the mall again

We met Kelli and Michaela at the mall again. I met her on Babycenter.com on the birth club board. We've gotten together about 3 times now. Its amazing how big the girls are getting. Both are so close to crawling.

Just me and Edna!

Ok now its officially official. I bought a van. Yep, got myself a 04 Honda Odyssey. I named her Edna, the old lady van. So now its just me and Edna.

I like Edna, the room is really nice and I know I'll appreciate it when we go to Ohio. I really like that it dropped my insurance $20/mo. I guess going from a Grand Am GT to a minivan will do that.

My Little Shopper

Belle was a trooper this weekend. We went shopping for my sisters wedding dress in Cincinnati and Belle tagged along. She was the life of the party. At the bridal shop, babies are normally not allowed back in the dressing room, but all Belle had to do was flash her smile and we were in.
People just were constantly stopping and commenting on how cute she was and how good she was being.

I better start saving for Belle's wedding now. The price of things have just gone through the roof since my wedding almost 7 years ago. Sara got the most beautiful wedding dress, but it was pricey for sure. She's also booked Jessica Strickland out of Indy for her wedding. With the dress and that photographer Im sure the pictures will be absolutely gorgeous.

Lets hope Belle didn't get expensive taste like her mother, aunt and mimi.

Fun @ Gymboree!

Today Belle and I had a preview class at Gymboree. She had a lot of fun and seemed to enjoy the songs and the clown Gymbo. Today was slide day so Belle got to play on the slides. She didn't seem too impressed, but she loved bubble time and the parachute.

There were two other babies in this class. Mason and Mckenna, both over 8 mos. She really enjoyed see other babies and interacting with them.

So I think I'm going to sign us up. Its nice for Belle to be around other babies and for me to get to talk to other moms. Its kinda expensive so we'll see how it goes.

Im officially a mom!

Well it didn't take long to realize that the Grand Am wasn't going to cut it for much longer. Trips to Ohio got harder and harder to pack for. Especially when we have a dog to tote along. Space was just limited.

Now we are looking into new cars and I find myself considering a minivan. I've always said "I'll never have a minivan". Well, never say never I guess. So I started out in a sport mustang, moved along to a less sporty Grand Am GT and now Im smack dab in the middle of mommyhood with a minivan. Oh I'm getting so old! What happened! =)

Well we've narrowed it down and have set our sites on a Honda Odyssey. So it won't be long til I have the "soccer mom" van.

Sleep, Glorious Sleep!

Belle has slept throught the night 2 nights in a row. Im thankful for this while it lasts. She's done it before, but for some reason it never lasts long.

Belle is teething I think. She's been a grumpy butt lately. We've tried tylenol and Hylands Teething Tablets. She's been a trooper though. I swear she's been teething since she's been 2 mos old. The drool just runs like a faucet out of that girl. Thats ok she can be a gummy bear as long as she wants.

All I wanted for Christmas was sleep and Santa didn't deliver.

Belle is almost 7 mos old now and she is still not sleeping consistently. I guess I shouldn't complain, nights like last night are few and far between. Well unless she is starting a new trend.

She went to bed around her usual time which is about 9 or so. I go to bed earlier expecting to get up at some point throughout the night. Well she had me up about 2. I thought I'd just put the paci in and be done, nope. So I then proceeded to try the whole "Cry it out" thing. She was not having it. After about 15 minutes Nic comes upstairs, I had left the monitor on so he heard the whole thing. He went down and made her a bottle. At that point I just wanted to go back to bed, so I gave her a bottle thinking she'd be out like a light and I'd go back to sleep. Nope.

She downed the bottle and when I put her in bed she rolled over and cuddled with her giraffe. I went to sleep on the air mattress upstairs just in case she didn't go to sleep right away. I was right she was up again. I then proceeded to take her and put her on the air mattress with me since that usually does the trick too. Nope. From about 2:30 til about 7:00 Belle floundered around like a fish. She just never got comfortable which meant I never got any sleep.

Some day I'll sleep again, lets just hope its before next Christmas.

Happy New Years!

We had a good New Years Eve. We had Nic's sister Gail over along with her two kids and fiance Anthony.

Belle had a good time watching AJ(2) and Savannah (4). You could just see it in her eyes that she wanted to do everything they did

Megan you've inspired me to try this blog thing again. As some of you know I had another blog throughout my pregnancy and the darn thing kept messing up. I'll give it another shot.

Belle is just growing like a weed. She has fully mastered sitting up and is just chomping at the bit to get moving. I'll be in serious trouble when she's mobile.

Solid foods are going well. She already is like her mother and doesn't like vegetables. She loves her oatmeal and fruit though. We've also started giving her some cheerios. I think 1 out of 10 actually make it to her mouth, but she sure has fun trying.

Sleeping through the night is another story. Its hit and miss lately. Usually I only have to get up once throughout the night to put the paci in. She is really good for naps at work and puts herself to sleep just fine.
